Manifestations and Miracles

One of the things that I have become more passionate about is the supernatural manifestations of God. I have experienced His presence on many occasions, dating back to a child as I was baptized in the Holy Ghost at age 9. I knew that He was real, not just because church or my parents, but because I experienced Him. I had many other encounters with Him but it wasn't until later that I realized that there is so much more to encountering God than that.

I attended a conference that was so powerful that God's glory was truly undeniable. I have seen healing miracles in my life; deaf ears opened, cancer healed, a man in a coma labeled brain dead for 7 days walked out of the hospital under his own power, and many others. Even my wife, each of my children, and I have our own miraculous healing testimonies to share as well, but I'd never seen unusual miracles like I did during those meetings.

Creative miracles differ, because it's the result of a loving God creating, recreating, or restoring something for us. Sometimes it's because He's loving on us, showing us we've pleased Him or that He's activating something in us.

This conference that I went to was my first encounter with these incredible manifestations of God's power. I have seen many more since, but this experience gave me a new perspective of how the mystical things of God should be what is considered normal. Unfortunately, there are so many people being deceived and told that as soon as John recorded the last words in the book of Revelation, God's voice was ceased forever, and His hand no longer moves and there is nothing new. This mentality is a contributor to why miracles seem shocking, when in fact it should be considered to be normal. It's normal with God, therefore, as His creation it should be normal with us.

I've literally heard Christians say "Well the doctor said it's cancer, I'll ask God for healing but if not, it's just my time to go. His Will for me." Let me tell you, THAT IS A LIE. God does not will for our sickness, nor does He strike us ill. I cannot believe how many Christians accept and cling to a diagnosis.

I recently heard a pastor say that "by his stripes we are healed" is false heresy, because Jesus only healed us spiritually and not physically. This guy is not some small town, backwoods pastor either, he has a large following, and the things that came out of his mouth shocked me. He smeared all things prophetic, all things faith movement and charismatic. I know that what he says is not only "off," but it's a lie from the enemy to steal your breakthrough, your miracles and rob your destiny from you. You may have Jesus, yes, but you'll never experience Him if you put Him in a box, essentially making God into a little action figure on your desk; small and powerless, unable to change your situation because of your lifeless theology. God will not impose Himself on you, you must not only believe, but release your faith in your prayer in expectation.

In this first supernaturally powerful meeting that I spoke of, there was a prophetic announcement that God was activating people to step into their destinies, and there would be people crowned with gold crowns and anointed with oil. The presence of the Lord was so strong that His glory was present. People were laid out all over the place and most of us were drunk in the Spirit. The man of God who began praying and laying hands on the people had supernatural oil literally coming from his pores. He had to remove his shoes because they were becoming soaked with the oil coming from his feet. A woman standing next to me also had oil producing in her palms. Others were manifesting gold dust in their hands, some had it in their hair, others it was on their faces. There were also financial miracles, unexplained cash in their wallets, purses and pockets. Bank accounts were found to have unexplained deposits right then. God's glory was undoubtedly there, and for anyone who might accuse this as staged, God began to crown people. There were about a dozen people who were literally crowned with gold, they had supernatural solid gold crowned teeth in their mouths. God did multiple dental miracles and manifested gold crowns. These creative, unusual miracles were simply of God's goodness and affection.

I have learned that when we come together, not to "do church" but to take a drink of God's presence, to be overcome with His glory, to invite the Holy Spirit for a total invasion, these experiences have become normal to me. Dive deep into Him. He'll take you as deep as you want to go. It takes time and commitment, but He wants to take you there.
